What if world-class, stylish eyewear with a compelling story came from Africa?

Made with reclaimed wood from West Africa, Bohten’s objective is to design, source and manufacture frames on the African continent for a global market of fashionable and environmentally conscious clientele

Deriving its name from “Boateng” a common Ghanaian name, Bohten’s brand ID feels both familiar and foreign. As the brain child of Third Culture kids, it reflects a persona that is open minded, linguistically-fluid and a blend of often contrasting identities. These “character traits” serve as a critical element of the brand’s distinguishing features, helping it resonate with adaptable, forward thinking consumers.

Our work included (and includes): brand/product naming, logo + corporate/visual identity, editorial design, web/social media design, messaging/art direction, photography, packaging and product design.
